Job summary

Elizabeth Layton Center in Ottawa, KS is seeking a part-time weekend Adult Specialist for the Community Support Services team. The role focuses on supervision and supportive services for adults with severe mental illness, with work primarily at the center’s residential housing and occasional community outreach.

Under licensed supervision, you will educate, train, and support consumers toward greater independence and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 40 hours training in providing equivalent supportive services or ability to attend 40 hours on-site training.
• Background checks required by Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide structured activities including attendant care and psychosocial group activities.
• Maintain a safe and productive environment for consumers.
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments; maintain a good driving record.
• Provide medication observation in the community and in supported housing environment.
• Maintain appropriate records for reporting, evaluation, accounting, and clinical purposes.
• Meet deadlines for daily paperwork and reports; ensure quality documentation.
• Complies with ELC policies and procedures.
