Job summary

McCrite Plaza is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering resident-centered programs. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and executing engaging activities aligned with residents’ needs and interests, including evenings and weekends when needed.

The candidate should hold a certified nurse aide credential and have relevant experience in social or recreational programs within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide with state-approved training.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years.
• Experience in health care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and implementing activities for individual residents and groups.
• Document resident interactions in plans as required by state standards.
• Ensure activity portions of the MDS are completed timely after admission and updates.
• Identify resident activity interests and document care plan updates every 90 days.
• Assist with Resident Council meetings and community events.
• Plan and implement room visits for residents unable to attend activities.
• Organize on-site church services and related activities.
• Maintain materials for activity programs and ensure resident safety during activities.
• Attend staff meetings and comply with policies and procedures.
• Operate computers to record and analyze resident information.
