Job summary

Charles E. Smith Life Communities is seeking an Activities Coordinator to join our Ring House and Landow House teams on weekends. You will plan, organize and lead engaging leisure programs and 1:1 activities for older adults, aligned with individual interests and abilities.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Lifestyle and Leisure Manager, evaluating resident needs, and ensuring smooth delivery of events. Strong communication and compassion for residents are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; experience in activities or healthcare preferred.
• Ability to plan, develop and evaluate activity programs for seniors.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement activity programs for Ring House and Landow House residents.
• Plan, schedule and advertise leisure activities; lead small group programs.
• Assess resident needs and adapt activities to individual interests and abilities.
• Provide 1:1 leisure education and support participation in events.
