Job summary

Association House of Chicago is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to provide rehabilitative stabilization services for adults with severe mental illness or dual diagnosis. The role involves teaching in-vivo daily living skills and monitoring symptoms and medications, with on-call coverage and weekend shifts.

You will maintain a safe home environment, collaborate on crisis management with the supervisor, and document all services per program protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of experience in human services preferred.
• Experience working with multi-ethnic populations; weekend/evening/holiday flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative stabilization services for adults with severe mental illness or dual diagnosis.
• Teach in-vivo independent, social, and daily living skills.
• Monitor participants’ symptoms and medication utilization.
• Maintain a safe home environment and provide crisis management in consultation with supervisor.
• Document all services using program protocols.
