Job summary

Lozier Corporation in Middlebury, IN is hiring a Weekend 1st Shift Skilled Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will set up Punch, Brake and Automatic Presses to meet print specifications and maintain high productivity on a 12-hour weekend shift.

The ideal candidate can read blueprints, operate measuring tools, and perform basic laser or CNC programming. Forklift certification is a plus; lifting up to 30 pounds is required, with opportunities for growth and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification or ability to obtain it.
• Experience reading blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to read measuring tools and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up Punch Presses, Brake Presses and Automatic Presses to print specifications.
• Basic programming for laser or CNC equipment.
• Communicate problems pertaining to the set-up of equipment and tooling to operators and supervisors.
• Follow-up with Operators to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Maintain reliable attendance and a clean, safe workspace.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
