Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is seeking a PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse to lead a dedicated Preop/PACU team at our Boerne facility. The role emphasizes daily case flow, staff supervision, and coordination with surgeons and vendors to ensure efficient operations.

Ideal candidates have Texas nursing licensure, CPR/ACLS/PALS, and 1+ year of leadership in Pre-Op/PACU, with BSN preferred. Schedule is weekdays only, with occasional early mornings or evenings based on surgical flow.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Nursing License.
• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• BSN preferred; accredited nursing program graduate.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing leadership experience.
• 2–5 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Preop/PACU staff to ensure smooth case flow.
• Prepares monthly staff schedules.
• Coordinates monthly staff meetings.
• Communicates with physicians to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Assists with staff education and in-services.
• Coordinates and assists in Performance Improvement Projects.
