Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is seeking a RN PACU to provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from anesthesia in a fast-paced outpatient GI setting. The role requires coordination with the surgical team and adherence to safety and privacy standards.

Position is weekdays only—with some early mornings and later evenings possible; no holidays, weekends, or on-call. Prior PACU or Critical Care experience is preferred, and strong nursing judgment and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family in preparation for discharge.
