Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is seeking a RN PACU to provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia in an outpatient gastroenterology setting. You will support patient safety, comfort, and privacy, and may assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique as needed.

The role requires graduation from an accredited RN program, an active Texas RN license, BLS and ACLS (PALS if required), and typically 2 years in PACU or

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients undergoing procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, sedation, and sterile technique as needed.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the perioperative period.
