Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring a RN PACU to provide continuity of nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia in a 1 OR and 3 procedure room outpatient gastroenterology setting.

The role requires weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to surgical flow. Strong assessment, planning, and collaboration with physicians are essential for safe discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment and to prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition and ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for discharge.
