Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - Carrollton is hiring a Registered Nurse Preop PACU. The role focuses on continuous assessment and safe care for patients recovering from anesthesia, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting in sedation procedures and maintaining patient privacy.

The facility emphasizes a safe, welcoming environment and comprehensive perioperative care. Weekdays only; no holidays, weekends, nights, or calls, with daily lunch provided to staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 1 year of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Proven nursing judgment and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Monitor and assess patients’ condition, ensuring safety and privacy at all times.
• Perform comprehensive patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation for discharge readiness.
