Job summary

SurgCenter of Plano, an outpatient surgery center affiliated with USPI and Baylor Scott & White Health, is hiring a Registered Nurse Preop PACU to join our team. Position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, nights or calls — to support safe perioperative care for our patients.

The RN will monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, assist physicians in procedure rooms, and provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Active RN license in Texas.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by center.
• 2 years PACU or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family needs for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms and maintain sterile techniques.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
