Illinois Pain & Spine Institute (IPSI) in Barrington, IL seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for ASC. You will guide patients through the surgical experience in a modern outpatient setting, with a predictable Monday–Friday schedule and no overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• ADN or higher degree.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year OR and/or PACU experience.
• BSN preferred.
• CPAN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical findings.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-anesthesia patient care.
• Monitor recovery and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Supervise support staff while promoting safe clinical practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
