Job summary

SurgCenter of Plano, an ambulatory surgery center, is seeking a Registered Nurse Preop PACU to join our team in Plano, TX. The role emphasizes continuity of care, patient safety, and privacy, with weekday hours and no holidays, weekends, or night shifts.

You will assess patients emerging from anesthesia, assist physicians, and deliver comprehensive preop and PACU nursing care in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• May assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive nursing care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for discharge.
