Job summary

Texan Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PreOp/PACU to provide continuous, high-quality patient care and assist physicians in perioperative settings. The role focuses on safety, comfort, and privacy from anesthesia emergence through discharge preparation.

The position requires 2 years of PACU or critical care experience, a Texas RN license, and active BLS/ACLS (PALS if required). Schedule: weekdays only with potential early mornings or later evenings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Active RN license in Texas.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care from anesthesia/sedation recovery to discharge planning and education.
