Job summary

Choice Care Surgery Center is actively hiring a Full-Time RN PreOp PACU to deliver high-quality nursing care from preoperative through recovery. The role supports physicians in procedure rooms, including conscious sedation, while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the perioperative period.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree, active RN license in Texas, BLS/ACLS, and preferably 2 years in PACU or Critical Care, with strong decision-making and communication skills

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Provide comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge.
