Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Whitestown, IN to monitor access, verify credentials, and support orderly operations at a logistics and distribution location. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, driver, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the logistics and distribution location, including entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate security-related logs, reports, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
