Job summary

Aurora Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our ambulatory care team in Manitowoc, WI. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15am–5:15pm with one rotating day off.

You will support providers, take vital signs, review histories, prepare patients for exams, administer vaccines, perform point-of-care testing, document in the EHR, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved Medical Assistant program, or 2 years of verifiable full-time MA experience.
• LPN license issued by the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA) to be obtained within 45 days unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with transition into care.
• Record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver coordinated care.
