Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, DE is seeking a Home Health Aide to join the clinical team under supervision of the RN or OT. You will provide services to clients per their Plan of Care and support independence.

Shift is 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with no weekends; possible holiday rotation in the future. The role requires a CNA or HHA training, valid driver’s license, and insurability. Salary ranges from $16.50 to $22.69 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of CNA or Home Health Aide training program of 75 hours or greater.
• Applicants are ineligible if they have not worked and received compensation as an aide for 24 consecutive months or greater since program completion.
• Successful maintenance of competency evaluations, skills validations, and required trainings as per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Follows Plan of Care developed by RN/Therapist.
• Adheres to infection control policies and HIPPA guidelines.
• Provides individualized personal care tasks as outlined in the aide care plan.
• Maintains a safe, clean and healthy environment for the patient.
• Encourages independence to achieve Plan of Care goals.
• Reports observations to RN/Therapist.
• Monitors and records temperature, pulse, and respiration as per plan.
• Recognizes and reports changes in skin condition.
• Contributes to competency assessments and ongoing education.
• Respects patient privacy and property.
• Performs assigned work safely and reports hazards to supervisor.

Education

Completion of CNA or Home Health Aide training program

24 months consecutive experience as aide
