Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in Brandon, FL is seeking a Florida-licensed CT Technologist for a full-time, weekdays-only role. You will perform diagnostic CT exams, ensure image quality, and maintain safety standards, while coordinating with radiologists and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency plus college/technical training required.
• Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) required.
• Valid ARRT (CT) certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, squatting, kneeling, move and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Minimum of 1 year CT Technologist experience, preferably in acute-care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Select proper technical factors and perform diagnostic CT examinations accurately.
• Demonstrate knowledge of CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system.
• Assist in administration of contrast media and related procedures.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients ensuring modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information prior to exam and obtain informed consent in MEDITECH.
• Obtain high-quality CT images for interpretation.
• Stay updated on software protocols through in-service study or courses.
• Maintain communication with patient and radiologist.
• Check equipment operation and keep room stocked and clean.
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed.
