Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in Brandon, FL is seeking a full-time CT Technologist to support our free-standing ER. You will perform diagnostic CT exams and accompanying radiology tasks, including contrast administration and patient positioning, while maintaining patient care and safety.

The role requires Florida licensure, ARRT CT certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of CT experience in an acute-care setting. On-call responsibilities may apply.

Qualifications

• Florida-licensed CT Technologist on a full-time basis.
• Valid ARRT (CT) certification.
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Minimum of 1 year current/recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Select proper technical factors for study and perform diagnostic CT examinations accurately and compassionately.
• Operate CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system.
• Assist in administration of contrast media and related procedures.
• Prepare and reposition patients ensuring modesty and safety with equipment.
• Document clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete required MEDITECH fields.
• Obtain high-quality CT images for interpretation.
• Maintain up-to-date software protocols and pursue ongoing education.
• Communicate effectively with patient, radiologist and care team.
• Ensure equipment is functional, rooms are clean, and supplies are stocked.
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed.
