Job summary

Sunnyside Scholars Early Learning Center in Liberty Hill, TX is hiring a Childcare Chef to prepare nutritious meals for infants through preschoolers. You’ll work daytime hours with holidays off, in person, and contribute to a caring learning environment.

Responsibilities include following approved menus, CACFP guidelines, and accommodating allergies. You’ll maintain a clean kitchen, receive deliveries, manage inventory, and support staff in delivering healthy meals.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, schools, restaurants, hospitals, or related settings is welcomed.
• Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain one) is preferred.
• Ability to follow nutrition guidelines and maintain clean kitchen practices.

• Follow CACFP and Texas childcare nutrition guidelines.
• Prepare meals for children with allergies and special dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.

• Rotate inventory using proper food storage procedures.
• Complete food temperature logs and required documentation.
• Minimize food waste through careful planning and organization.
• Work with the director and teaching staff to provide exceptional meal service.
• Create a positive dining experience for children each day.

What You’ll Do

Prepare nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks following our approved menu.
