Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to prepare home-style, nutritious meals for children at our Centreville centers. You will follow menus, ensure health and safety standards, and support teachers in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meals within menu and budget bounds and serve children and staff.
• Follow the daily menu and comply with USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
