Job summary

The WEC Drilling Engineer at Schlumberger in Anchorage, AK supports the PSD team by delivering optimized drilling designs and real-time technical support to ensure safe, efficient and reliable service delivery.

You will work with product line specialists to identify improvement opportunities, communicate design changes, and assist in incident response and tender evaluations. A STEM degree and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors in STEM Field required.
• O&G Direct Related Drilling Experience Required.
• Must have right to work in the United States; no VISA sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical job designs as required for the Product Line.
• Identify areas where new and cost-effective techniques can be applied.
• Explore opportunities for value-added products and services.
• Provide technical support throughout the service delivery process.
• Understand and communicate value of technology and interpretations.
• Consult with subject matter experts to optimize the technical design.
• Support PSD operations with design changes due to job changes.
• Assist in incident response, recovery, and incident investigation.
• Support multiple Product Line operations in a collaborative optimized job design.
• Assist sales and commercial team in evaluating technical viability and tenders.
• Analyze job execution vs. design and capture design improvements.
