Job description

As our Website Support Specialist, you'll be the hands-on expert managing the performance, functionality, and visual quality of websites we build and host for media partners. You'll focus on web maintenance and technical support, ensuring our WordPress sites remain operational and optimized for clients. As the primary contact for troubleshooting web issues and managing critical updates, you must be able to work independently and solve problems efficiently. Please note this job is 100% remote however you must live in the DFW area for occasional team meetups.

What You’ll Be DoingWebsite Maintenance & Updates

• Perform daily content updates, design edits, and partner-requested modifications.
• Implement SEO best practices (e.g., meta descriptions, title tags, content formatting) as guided by our SEO team to enhance web performance.
  
  

Technical Web Support & Troubleshooting

• Independently diagnose and resolve website issues, including bug fixes, plugin conflicts, and site errors.
• Provide essential technical support to internal teams (e.g., Market Support, Content) related to website functionality and performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for our WP Engine support team for hosting-related or deeper technical challenges.
  
  

Website Launch & Hosting Management

• Manage WP Engine accounts, including domain setups and DNS configurations.
• Coordinate smooth site migrations and go-lives for new or updated partner websites.
  
  

Tracking & Analytics Implementation

• Accurately install and verify tracking scripts, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other necessary pixels.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of hands-on WordPress experience, specializing in website maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with WP Engine, Elementor, and core web hosting fundamentals.
• Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve website issues (e.g., plugin conflicts, server errors).
• Familiarity with DNS, domain management, and installing tracking scripts (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager).
• A strong eye for web design, with experience using template-based systems and Elementor frameworks.
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles and responsive web best practices.
• Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
