Job summary

The New School in New York City is seeking Federal Work-Study students to help design, publish, and promote our Understandingfafsa.org site and related materials. You will join a student team reporting to the Director of CNYCA’s Higher Education Affordability Project.

Responsibilities include collaborating with a design team, managing weekly newsletters and social media updates, and creating content and curricula to simplify college financial aid for families and counselors.

Qualifications

• Experience in graphic design, web design, or content production.
• Full-time The New School student with a Federal Work-Study award.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work with our professional design team on developing V6 of the website, including a new section for counselors and families.
• Assist with the administration and publication of our weekly newsletter and updates on LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Assist the team in developing content and curriculum for the website, including short how-to blogs and tools for students, families, and educators.
• Collaborate to develop new publications or products to make financial aid easier to understand and more accessible.
