Job summary

The New School in New York is looking for an enthusiastic Content Creator to join the Admission Communications team. This Federal Work Study role is hybrid, with on-campus content creation and regular in-person office time, meetings, and event coverage.

You will craft multimedia content for prospective students and families, manage social platforms like Instagram and CampusESP, and collaborate with staff to tell authentic student-life stories while meeting deadlines and balancing multiple duties.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program at The New School.
• Federal Work Study Award required.
• Familiarity with social networks and apps.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Strong video editing abilities; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Meet content deadlines and attend all content team meetings.
• Represent Admission Communications at events (in-person and online).
• Check in daily with Content Managers and Welcome Center admins on Slack.
• Be comfortable in front of the camera and create multimedia content.
• Understand audiences and platforms and engage with prospective students and families.
• Collaborate with staff and student team members to support the mission.
• Manage time effectively and balance multiple duties.
• Commit to 5-8 hours per week.
