Job summary

Westchester Community College (WCC) seeks a Web Services Intern for the Valhalla campus. You will assist with web redesigns, API work, SEO/ADA optimization, and Tableau dashboards, gaining exposure to content strategy for non-credit and credit courses.

You will upload content to WordPress, revise copy, and align with the SUNY WCC style guide while collaborating with the web manager and marketing director.

Qualifications

• GPA 2.5 or better, student in good standing.
• 24 hours of earned credits at time of internship.
• Approval of Curriculum Chair or other Faculty in Major.
• Ability to work 8 hours a week/120 hours over the semester in the internship.
• Must be enrolled at SUNY WCC in an industry related degree program (e.g., CS or CIS).

Responsibilities

• Meet with team members to create content and promote courses and certifications.
• Uploading content to WordPress content management system (CMS).
• Revising content as needed.
• Familiarize with the SUNY WCC style guide.
• Copy editing including grammar, punctuation, and spelling adjustments.
• Collaborate with Strategic Marketing to create event posts and new web pages.
• Convert web forms built in WP Visual Form Builder Pro to MS Office 365 Forms and set up Power Automate flows.
• Assist in sitemap and department content for Administration, Foundation, Academic Affairs, Admissions and more.
