Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Web Producer to develop and maintain websites for the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and its units. You will manage client support by coordinating with content editors and produce content that is professional, accessible, and on-brand.

The role requires HTML/CSS/JavaScript, WordPress administration, and a strong ability to analyze site performance to improve user experience.

Qualifications

  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript experience.
  • Familiar with Wordpress administration and content production using Gutenberg.
  • Ability to analyze and utilize website performance metrics.
  • Sensitivity to editorial and design best practices.
  • Able to work within a large organization with content accessibility and data stewardship considerations.
  • Improvise web production solutions as needed.
  • Experience working in a team with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain websites for the OVCR and reporting units.
  • Liaise with content editors; produce professional, accessible, on-brand content.
  • Maintain research.unc.edu and other related sites; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
  • Perform data analytics and site testing for optimal user experience.
