Job summary

Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy is seeking a Web Manager to develop and maintain its online presence. You will oversee ongoing web development, content production, accessibility compliance, user experience design, and site performance optimizations for McCourt's primary web properties, coordinating with stakeholders across McCourt and Georgetown.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; minimum of 5 years in website content management, front-end programming or digital marketing.
Strong experience with WordPress as an enterprise CMS.
HTML/CSS knowledge in a centrally-managed WordPress environment.
Experience ensuring WCAG 2.2 accessibility and Section 508 compliance.
Experience in responsive web design and mobile-first methodologies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Experience Designer or Figma.
Strong organizational, project and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Georgetown McCourt’s online presence across primary web properties.
Ensure accessibility compliance (Section 508, WCAG 2.2) and optimize user experience.
Collaborate with McCourt Strategic Communications, the Dean’s Office and UIS/IST teams.
Monitor site performance, search engine optimization, and analytics; provide reporting.
Govern content updates and governance within the central WordPress codebase.
