Job summary

Join Xplor Technologies as a Web Implementation Specialist in the Golf & Club vertical. You will build and configure WordPress websites, integrating content, templates, and brand standards while ensuring accessibility, SEO, and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development, implementation, or technical website operations experience.
• A portfolio showing complete WordPress websites with technical customization beyond basic content entry or page-builder use.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, with working knowledge of JavaScript and responsive design.

Responsibilities

The Web Implementation Specialist builds, configures, and reviews WordPress websites for foreUP customers. This role organizes and implements customer-provided content and assets while using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and technical troubleshooting skills to create responsive, accessible, and search-friendly websites. The specialist also completes pre-launch quality assurance, resolves website issues, applies SEO and WCAG best practices, documents findings, and collaborates with internal teams to deliver high-quality websites on schedule.

Some Of The Things You'll Do

• Build and update WordPress websites using approved designs, templates, content, and brand standards.
• Create responsive page layouts, navigation, forms, and reusable components using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and working knowledge of JavaScript.
• Work with themes, child themes, page builders, custom fields, plugins, and WordPress settings beyond basic drag-and-drop tools.
• Migrate and organize website content while improving formatting, usability, SEO, internal linking, metadata, and accessibility.
• Troubleshoot website layout, styling, plugin, browser, mobile, hosting, performance, and integration issues.
• Complete website quality assurance across devices and browsers, including links, forms, navigation, redirects, tracking, and responsive layouts.
• Identify and correct common ADA/WCAG accessibility issues using automated scanning and manual testing.
• Apply SEO and GEO best practices, including page titles, headings, meta descriptions, image optimization, schema, redirects, and internal linking.
• Support the configuration and validation of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, conversion tracking, and approved integrations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, improve website performance, and deliver projects on schedule.

Youll Need

• 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development, implementation, or technical website operations experience.
• A portfolio demonstrating complete WordPress websites and technical customization beyond basic content entry or page-builder use.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, with working knowledge of JavaScript, responsive design, browser compatibility, and code inspection.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting WordPress themes, plugins, templates, and site settings.
• Practical knowledge of website accessibility and WCAG best practices, including experience resolving ADA-related accessibility issues.
• Working knowledge of SEO and GEO/AI search optimization, including metadata, schema, internal linking, page speed, and mobile usability.
• Experience with website QA, responsive and browser testing, launch checklists, DNS, SSL, redirects, caching, backups, and deployments.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple website projects and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in web development, Information Technology, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

• Experience with PHP, the WordPress template hierarchy, hooks, filters, and safe customization practices.
• Experience with WP Engine or another managed WordPress host, including staging, backups, caching, redirects, domains, and deployments.
• Experience using accessibility testing tools and familiarity with ADA, Section 508, and VPAT/ACR documentation.
• Experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, structured data, and SEO/GEO tools.
• Familiarity with Git, WordPress security, performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and plugin management.
• Experience supporting multi-site programs, agencies, SaaS customers, golf courses, hospitality, recreation, or membership-based organizations.
