Midjourney is seeking an Engineering Manager to own the web team and what it ships. You will be accountable for delivery, quality, and performance of the web product, working with design, product, backend and infra as the product evolves.

In this AI-native role, you’ll lead a small, senior team, raise the bar on shipping, hire when needed, and use AI tools to handle routine work so you can focus on strategy, judgement calls, and removing roadblocks for the team in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Managed engineering teams building consumer products at scale.

• Proven hiring track record and ability to close strong engineers.
• Experience with AI-assisted development.
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and quality of the web product end to end.
• Amplify the team and hire when necessary.
• Set technical direction with engineers: architecture, standards.
• Work with design, product, and engineering leadership to organise, spec, and deliver projects.
• Stay in the code: review implementations, prototype, unblock problems.
• Run the team through one-on-ones and technical planning.
