Job summary

Oklahoma State University is seeking a Web and Digital Specialist to support the Web Coordinator for OSU Center for Health Sciences. You will assist in designing, developing, and supporting the university’s digital communications, leveraging CMS platforms and WordPress, while upholding brand standards and accessibility.

You will plan page layouts, create hard-coded email templates, and analyze site metrics.

Qualifications

Two to five years of professional web development or design experience.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for email and web development.
Experience with CMS like WordPress and proprietary CMS platforms.
Graphic design skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
Understanding digital analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design, development, and support of the university’s digital communications.
Plan site layouts and navigation within OSU’s CMS and WordPress sites using templates and brand guidelines.
Assist in designing and developing email communications with hard-coded HTML.
Ensure all digital designs meet WCAG 2.1 accessibility requirements and brand standards.
Contribute to guidelines, learning materials, and research for OSU’s digital systems and accessibility.
Analyze site traffic and report web metrics using Google Analytics and other tools.
