Job summary

Advisors Excel is seeking a Web Developer to turn web designs into fast, responsive digital experiences in Topeka, KS. You’ll translate creative concepts into functional websites, implement up-to-date development practices, and build interactive elements to elevate user experience.

You will collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams, stay current with web technologies, and contribute to standardized development practices for efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of front-end development experience.
• Experience with code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
• Working knowledge of Webflow as a development tool.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain website templates to streamline development.
• Research and implement current coding, development, and web performance best practices.

Overview:

What happens when great design meets great development? As a Web Developer at Advisors Excel, you’ll bring creative concepts to life by turning web designs into fast, responsive, and engaging digital experiences.

What you’ll do:

• Translate web designs and creative concepts into functional, responsive websites


• Conduct research and implement up-to-date coding and development practices to ensure high-quality solutions


• Build interactive elements and animations that enhance the user experience


• Develop and maintain website templates to streamline development


• Research and implement current coding, development, and web performance best practices
  
• Document and standardize development practices to improve consistency and efficiency


• Partner with designers and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement


• Stay current with emerging web technologies and industry trends

Experience you’ll bring:

• 2+ years of front-end web development experience


• Experience with code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN


• Working knowledge of Webflow as a development tool


• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment


• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

Bonus Points:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field


• Experience with Figma and Adobe Photoshop


• Understanding of DNS basics
