Job summary

GEM Technologies, Inc. in Los Alamos, NM is seeking a Web Developer to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory on a full-time basis with hybrid flexibility.

The role focuses on frontend development using Angular and collaboration with the Lab to ensure compliance with site standards and security policies. Responsibilities include designing frontend materials, troubleshooting integration issues, and utilizing Laboratory templates and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued clearance.
• Highly motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Strong front-end development experience with Angular.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Web Developer to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico with hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

Support developing a new LDRD platform with front end design needs.

Design, format materials, coordinate and troubleshoot integration and interface issues, and ensure compliance with Laboratory Web site specifications, standards, and security policies.

Use and develop Laboratory templates and standards.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in liberal arts and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Highly motivated individual who is able to work well under pressure.
• Strong background developing front ends using the Angular framework is required.

• Familiar with user experience methodologies.

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons. This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering (energy.gov).
