Job summary

Apple in Cary, North Carolina, United States is seeking a senior content manager/editor to oversee high-volume content updates for an internal global website. You will write, edit, and load content, ensuring editorial standards and usability best practices are followed across projects and initiatives.

You will collaborate with leadership and SMEs to articulate key messages, manage timelines, and coordinate localization efforts, bringing strong project-management and relationship-building skills

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in online content production and editing
• Able to write clear, direct and compelling copy
• Meticulous, highly organized, and strong task/project management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Proven experience with Content/Web Management Systems required
• Intermediate knowledge of HTML
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to build strong relationships with partners in an often ambiguous and fast-changing environment
• Ability to influence without authority and drive the task while working with cross-functional team
• Experience with HR and global projects preferred
• BA/BS degree in English, journalism or communications (or related field); Master's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain content quality and uphold editorial standards per style guides and glossaries
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners to publish promotional tiles
• Write, edit and load content with SMEs to update messaging for users
• Prioritize requests with input from leadership and plan timelines
• Act as a content strategist, applying usability best practices and user needs
• Promote content strategy within the organization and with partners
• Understand content structure and style for the web
• Scope content development work and negotiate timelines
• Build and maintain timelines and collaborate in project management tools
• Work with localization team for translated content
• Coordinate with internal and external partners across the business
