Case Western Reserve University's websites are one of the most visible touchpoints of the university, and the Web Content Specialist works as part of the web and marketing team to keep them accurate, up to date, and accessible to people of all abilities. This person builds and updates pages in Drupal, applying judgment to assess and remediate accessibility, brand, and usability issues as they arise. They support content editors through help desk requests and website training, and guide stakeholders identified for simplified website solutions through setup and scope. Much of the role is support-forward, with daily collaboration with partners and help desk requests at the center of the job, so it's a great fit for someone who finds that kind of service-oriented work satisfying.
Department: Daily contact with department staff to maintain workflow and resolve website issues.
University: Regular contact with school and department partners to coordinate site updates, address quality concerns, and advise on website solutions.
External: Occasional contact with outside vendors and consultants to get support using current website tools, resolve questions, and troubleshoot vendor-related issues.
Students: Little or no contact with students.
This position has no direct supervision of staff employees.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant work experience; OR Associate's degree and 4 years of relevant experience required.
General office working environment. This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
This position is eligible for hybrid work arrangement up to two remote days per week at the discretion of the department. New employees may begin a hybrid schedule upon approval from the supervisor, successful completion of an orientation period and signing the remote work checklist certification form.
