Job summary

Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Oklahoma City is seeking an Information Systems Applications Specialist IIB to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using ASP.NET Core, C#, JavaScript and HTML/CSS.

You will build and consume RESTful APIs, create responsive front-ends, and participate in design reviews while improving performance, security, and CI/CD processes. This is a structured civil service role with state benefits.

Qualifications

• Level Two education plus 1+ year of relevant experience OR 156 hours of vocational/technical education plus 1+ year of experience.
• Experience in applications development and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using .NET (ASP.NET Core), C#, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems
• Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly front-end interfaces
• Participate in application design reviews and technology selection
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production environments
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, Senior Developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
• Maintain technical documentation and system design artifacts
