Job summary

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Oklahoma City is seeking an Information Systems Applications Specialist IIIB51C to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, crafting responsive user interfaces, participating in architecture decisions, and mentoring junior developers, with CI/CD and DevOps contributions ongoing.

Qualifications

• Completion of twelve semester hours of computer science or MIS coursework plus three years experience in applications development and analysis work.
• 156 hours vocational or technical education courses resulting in certification in applications development plus three years experience in applications development and analysis work.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in applications development for the required education plus three additional year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using .NET (ASP.NET Core), C#, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems
• Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly front-end interfaces
• Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and technology selection
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
• Maintain technical documentation and system design artifacts

Education
