Job summary

Oklahoma Department Of Human Services in Oklahoma City is seeking an Information Systems Applications Specialist III to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using .NET (ASP.NET Core), C#, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS. You will build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.

You will develop responsive, accessible front-ends, participate in architecture reviews, and help optimize performance, scalability, and security across production and development

Qualifications

• Must have 12 college hours in CS/MIS plus 3 years of apps development/analysis experience.
• Or 156 vocational hours with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Or equivalent education/experience combination with 3 years in apps dev/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web apps using .NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems.
• Develop responsive, accessible front-end interfaces.
• Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and tech selection.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and security of applications.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in dev and prod environments.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Mentor junior/mid-level developers.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps practices.
• Maintain technical docs and design artifacts.

Annual Salary

Level Three: $100,000.00 +

This is the specialist level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibilities involving advanced analysis and programming work such as independent responsibility for a complete application or operating system or subsystem, project management on an occasional basis, or responsibility for the coordination of multiple programming tasks or activities. This may include the supervision or direction of others as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Level Three: Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of the completion of twelve semester hours of computer science or management information systems course work at an accredited college or university plus three additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or completion of a minimum of 156 hours of vocational or technical education courses resulting in certification in applications development plus three additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in applications development for the required education plus three additional year of experience in applications development and analysis work
