Job summary

GreenSavers in Portland, ME is hiring a Weatherization Technician in Training to join our production team. Whether you have construction experience or want to build a career in the trades, we’ll provide training and support to help you succeed.

As part of the weatherization crew, you’ll assist skilled technicians with insulation, air sealing, and improving energy efficiency in homes across Portland. You’ll learn on the job, work safely, and grow into greater responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Enjoys physical, hands-on work and is physically capable of performing duties.
• Reliable, punctual and ready to work.
• Takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and safety.
• Has a positive attitude and is eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Learn to install attic, floor, and wall insulation.
• Learn air sealing and duct sealing.

GreenSavers is looking for a Weatherization Technician in Training to join our production team. Whether you already have construction experience or you're looking to build a career in the trades, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

As part of our weatherization crew, you'll work alongside experienced technicians installing insulation, air sealing homes, and improving energy efficiency throughout the Portland area. Every day is a little different, and every project makes a real impact for our customers.

What You'll Do

Working alongside an experienced Crew Leader, you'll learn how to:

• Install attic, floor, and wall insulation
  
• Perform air sealing and duct sealing
  
• Safely operate tools and equipment
  
• Help prepare and clean job sites
  
• Drive company vehicles as needed
  
• Deliver excellent customer service while working in customers' homes
  
• Follow safety procedures and company standards on every job
