Job summary

GreenSavers in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Level 1 Weatherization Installer to join our hands-on field team. This full-time, in-person role focuses on installing attic, floor, and wall insulation and sealing air leaks under guidance from experienced teammates.

You will work in occupied homes, follow safety rules, keep tools organized, complete photos and time records, and contribute to improving home energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated weatherization trainee skills or comparable insulation, construction, or residential retrofit experience.
• Safe use of common tools and ladders, and the ability to follow written scopes and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance, accurate timekeeping, respect for customers’ homes, and a willingness to ask questions and learn.
• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Air-sealing, insulation, or duct-sealing experience; basic building-science knowledge; and Spanish/English bilingual skills are helpful.

WX Installer Level 1 — Bend, Oregon | Full time | $23.75/hour base pay Put your practical skills to work making Bend homes more comfortable and energy efficient. As a Level 1 weatherization installer, you’ll install insulation and seal air leaks with guidance from experienced teammates, build confidence on the job, and see the difference your work makes.

What you’ll do

Install attic, floor, and wall insulation and complete assigned air-sealing and duct-sealing work. Protect customers’ homes, prepare materials, and use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and weatherization equipment safely. Follow work orders and crew direction; flag access, material, or quality concerns before moving ahead. Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas organized, and complete photos, checklists, time records, and job notes.

The work environment

This is hands-on field work in occupied homes, including attics, crawl spaces, basements, roofs, and other confined or difficult-to-access areas. The work involves frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 75 pounds; standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders; and exposure to heat, cold, dust, and weather. You must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation and follow required safety and PPE practices.
