Job summary

Community Action Lehigh Valley is seeking a Weatherization Installer to perform energy-efficiency upgrades in residential settings across Bethlehem area. You will install insulation and weatherization materials, carry out safety checks, and ensure quality standards while communicating with homeowners throughout the retrofit process.

This role requires two to three years in construction or energy-efficiency fields, on-the-job training, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; however, we welcome candidates with relevant work experience or alternative learning pathways.
• Two to three years in the construction, weatherization, or energy efficiency industries required.
• Experience working with diverse communities and understanding the needs of different households.

Responsibilities

• Install energy-saving measures in residential buildings (insulation/weatherization).
• Install health and safety measures and ensure installations meet safety/quality standards.
• Perform diagnostic testing to identify energy inefficiencies and evaluate effectiveness.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with homeowners throughout the retrofit process.
• Collaborate with program staff to identify process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of materials and time spent on each job.
