This role works with the weather team to deliver accurate forecasts, meets station standards for journalistic quality, and contributes to web and social media content including live and recorded segments.

Flexibility to respond to breaking weather events and participate in public appearances is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or related field.
• 1–2 years of weather presentation and reporting preferred.
• Ability to shoot video and perform non-linear editing.
• Strong forecasting knowledge and deadline discipline.

Responsibilities

• Produce and present weather/news reports for multiple platforms.
• Ensure content meets journalistic standards.
• Write and deliver weather/news stories clearly.
• Respond to breaking weather events and coordinate coverage.
• Work with the weather team to develop coverage.
• Write local web forecasts daily.
• Engage viewers on social media.
• Post content to web and social platforms.
