First Soft Solutions LLC in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a hands-on Battery Test Engineer to support validation and characterization of battery cells, packs, charging systems, and power electronics in a fast-paced hardware development lab.

You will plan, execute, and report test results, operate precision instruments, build fixtures, and ensure safety while documenting procedures and data for clear, actionable insights.

Competenze

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related hands-on experience.
• Working knowledge of battery fundamentals: cell chemistry, capacity, internal resistance, SOC, charge/discharge behavior.
• Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation and electrical measurement.
• Ability to interpret schematics, power trees, and datasheets.
• Strong data-analysis skills (Python, MATLAB, or spreadsheet tools).
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to document work clearly.

Mansioni

• Set up and execute battery characterization tests: charge/discharge cycling, capacity, IR, and temperature behavior.
• Operate lab instruments and maintain calibration and safety standards.
• Perform bench bring-up, functional testing, and characterization of power supplies and rails.
• Build and maintain test fixtures and instrumentation for cells, packs, chargers, and rails.
• Capture, analyze, and summarize test data; report findings clearly.
