Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Sunnyvale, CA seeks an experienced Battery Test Engineer for embedded products. The role focuses on creating and executing comprehensive battery validation test plans, including performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory tests.

You will perform cycle testing and manage data, supporting root-cause analysis. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in battery testing, knowledge of lithium-ion concepts, thermal testing, and battery management circuits, plus

Competenze

• 7+ years of testing experience in embedded battery systems.
• Ability to create and execute battery validation test plans per specs and regulations.
• Experience with performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory tests.
• Expertise in battery cycle testing including charge/discharge scenarios.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion batteries, charge/discharge cycling, CC/CV charging, quick charging, load for testing, battery management circuits, and thermal testing.
• Ability to support battery validation to explore boundary performance of battery systems.
• Experience with energy storage in wearables.
• Experience with battery testing tools for embedded systems.
• Record and analyze test data, document findings and support root-cause analysis.
• Responsible for test coverage analysis and HW/SW validation testing.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-relations skills.
• Active participation in sprint planning and retrospective meetings with customers.
• Proficiency in test management tools like Azure and JIRA.
