Sesame in San Francisco is building ultra-small speaker systems for wearables. We’re seeking a Speaker Systems Engineer to own the speaker path end to end—from transducer selection and enclosure design to factory testing and reliability.

You will translate product requirements into acoustic specs, design and simulate paths, qualify suppliers, prototype and measure performance, and work with EE/ME/FW/PD and DSP teams to tune and protect the system.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Acoustics, Physics or similar.
• 5+ years of experience integrating speakers into hardware; shipped product ownership.
• Strong grounding in electroacoustics and enclosure/port design.
• Hands-on experience selecting and qualifying miniature speakers with suppliers.
• Experience with audio test systems and measuring distortion, SPL, and leakage.

Aufgaben

• Own the speaker path from transducer selection through enclosure design and factory test.
• Translate requirements into speaker system specs: bandwidth, level, distortion, leakage, power budget.
• Design and qualify speakers with suppliers; evaluate new transducer tech.
• Design and simulate the acoustic path with back volume, ports, leaks, and open-ear leakage control.
• Build and measure prototypes; characterize response and limits; implement design changes.
