Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Watch design team. You will own the mechanical design of the next-gen wearable products, working with Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, and Marketing to deliver advanced hardware.

You will lead projects across functions, build prototypes for validation, and perform failure analysis to ensure robust, scalable solutions for Apple’s wearable devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Solid understanding of heat transfer, mechanics of materials, and related fundamentals.
• Understanding of tight-tolerance fabrication, DFA/DFM, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• CAD and drawings with GD&T; working knowledge of FEA.
• Application of statistical tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-functional design projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Build prototypes for design validation and drive failure analysis.
• Collaborate with vendors in Asia and internal teams to deliver parts.
• Deliver robust mechanical solutions for next-generation wearable devices.
