Apple Inc. in Cupertino invites a Senior Systems Engineer to define the future of Apple Watch. You will build and optimize foundational software driving performance and power efficiency, and prototype new technologies shaping future hardware and software features.

Join a collaborative team spanning Performance, Power, OS, and Hardware. You’ll tackle challenges from kernel to applications, model memory needs for a new SoC, and contribute to system-level enhancements while shaping user experiences

Qualifications

• 8+ years industry experience.
• Deep technical understanding with software development lifecycle.
• Experience with low-level OS systems (kernel, Darwin or drivers).
• Experience with power and performance measurement and investigation.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Work across firmware, kernel, and application layers to create new experiences by leveraging hardware.
• Model memory demand and performance for future SoCs.
• Engage in investigative and research-like projects to prototype solutions.
• Diagnose and address performance issues at language, runtime, and kernel layers.
• Implement new software components, frameworks, and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship features.
