Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. seeks an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to conduct patient fittings for wearable defibrillators in the Twin Cities, MN area.

The APS acts as the local patient care representative, trained and certified to fit patients and train care teams. This contract position requires travel to hospitals and patient homes, strong patient care skills, and ability to work flexible daytime/evening/weekend hours.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver).
• Clinical or engineering background which may include nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinical engineers, or related roles.
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
• Background check completion; Florida and Ohio level 2 screening applicable.
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing upfront during a 90-day probationary period.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with good driving record.
• Ability to work in the field across the region with travel.
• Credentialing for hospital system entry including vaccination and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in ASSURE patients.
• Schedule services with prescribers, caregivers, and patients.
• Accept daytime, evening, and weekend hours as needed.
• Travel to hospitals and patients’ homes for fittings.
• Measure patients to determine garment size and fit.
• Transmit essential paperwork for garment and services.
• Manage inventory of kit, garments, and equipment used in fittings.
• Maintain confidentiality and data security as required.
