Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. in the Twin Cities, MN area seeks an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to conduct patient fittings for wearable defibrillators. This is a paid per fitting position working with the local team and RCAs to deliver patient care.

You will be trained and certified as an ASSURE Patient Specialist, travel to hospitals and patient homes, measure garments, manage kit inventory, and coordinate with prescribers and caregivers to schedule services.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver).
• Clinical or engineering background including nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinical engineers, cath lab techs, PAs, or ECG technicians.
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
• Background check completed; Florida and Ohio require level 2 screening paid by Kestra.
• Ability to pay vendor credentialing upfront during a 90-day probation.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a good driving record.
• Ability to work in field around the region; disclosures for relationships required.
• Must achieve credentialing for hospital system entry including vaccination documentation.
• Pass background check and pass drug screening.
• Completion of HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Electrical/Fire Safety online courses.

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator as an ASSURE Patient Specialist, certified by Kestra.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in Assure patients.
• Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
• Accept assignments including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
• Travel to hospitals, patients’ homes and healthcare facilities to provide fittings.
• Measure patient to determine garment size.
• Review and transmit essential paperwork to receive Garment and services.
• Manage inventory of kits, garments, and equipment used in fittings.
• Maintain schedule flexibility and comply with confidentiality pledges.
